About the Team
Members of the Team
Our team is hand picked. Anyone can join our e-boards or wiki page, but to be an investigator you must be chosen. This ensures a professional, well-trained team that works together and follows the same protocols. Furthering education and experience for our team is very important to us and we require ongoing training and seek outside sources to help us accomplish this goal.
To become an investigator you must show the potential we are looking for in a team member. We are very selective to ensure our reputation as a serious paranormal investigative group is upheld. If we see you have the potential to join our team, we will interview you to make sure your expectations and ours will be a good match. After the interview (if selected) you will be invited to apply as an Investigator in Training and may progress from there.
The History Behind the Founder : Cher Wright
I am the Northwest Indiana Representative of American Ghost Society. In the past 10 + years I have served on the board of directors and held officer positions in a local state-wide ghost hunting group as PR officer, and served as Investigation Coordinator along with being a team leader on investigations as well. (The only group Paranormal Sciences is affiliated with is AGS). I have been a member of many smaller paranormal groups in the area and went on to Create my own group (Paranormal Sciences). I have enjoyed teaching about the paranormal and have been giving classes on the subject matter in Valparaiso, Portage and Merrillville IN. In the month of October I offer many public demonstrations and presentations at local libraries. I have investigated many haunted sites from the Mississippi River to the east coast and as far south as Tennessee & North Carolina. I hope to broaden this in 2009. In 2008, I had the pleasure of going to Mansfield Reformatory with Troy Taylor, Iclips.net and a small cast to shoot an episode of Cringe. My Favorite type of evidence is EVP and I believe the most important tool that isnt the investigator would have to be paper and pen! Ghost Hunting to me is a lot of fun, but I also take it very serious. I am currently working on a book about Science in Ghost Hunting.
My media appearances include the investigation and equipment section of the 2007 Chicago Ghost Conference video, Mansfield episode of Cringe, and radio appearnces on local radio stations to include Chicago Public Radio, WVLP and several stations with Radion One Comunicaitons.Bill is our strongest skeptic. He enjoys much of the "tech" aspects of the job. He has worked in law enforcement, the military and held board positions in other state-wide groups. He has an awesome sense of leadership. He has been investigating the paranormal since he was a young boy. Bill brings a real balance to this group and we are proud to have him.
Liza has been training in and studying the paranormal for the past 3 years, but has been involved in it all her life. She is eager to jump in and help and is very patient. She confesses that she least enjoys going through EVP evidence, but EVP is her favorite capture! Liza helps at most of the classes and is always willing to jump in with both feet. She is turning out to be a great investigator! She makes a great team leader and is always willing to answer questions.
Mark had been training with Paranormal Sciences for over a year. In September of 2009, I asked him to join the team. I have seen great things in Mark. He is skeptical. His method if investigating is very thorough. He is an awesome team leader as well! Mark has been doing a lot of work with EVP and the Ghost Box and have gotten some pretty amazing results. He is very scientific in his manor. Paranormal Sciences is lucky to have all of Marks new builds of specialty equipment that we can experiment with on our investigations! Mark is our Tech Manager.
I am honored to have Rob Johnson as a mentor and a consulting member of Paranormal Sciences. He is an amazing paranormal investigator who has worked on many projects with the nations leading paranormal groups and on programs with Syfy, Travel Channel and documentaries such as The Possessed. In addition, he is a very talented and professional photographer with some really amazing work! Please check it out at http://themacabreart.smugmug.com/Other Rob has been a constant supporter of Paranormal Sciences and of my journey with the Paranormal. I have learnd so much from him. Thank You Rob!
We are pleased to be working with Erica Behringer. She has worked on many projects and just finsihed working on a project with the Travel Channel. She is a Reiki Master and she has her own video production company. She is a very talented investigator as well and an important addition to the group. Erica works with many groups offering her advice and impressions as well as a strong sense of debunking.
We have other members that add to the group. Currently we are starting to add investiators in training. We take this position very seriously. We have an intensive pre-training program that lasts 7 months. We watch the students and see who shows what we are looking for. We do not add too many at one time because we do not want to change the dynamics of Paranormal Sciences too much. We offer a few new investigator positions each year. Not everyone who makes it to this position will be added to the team and are welcome to try again the following year.
